NIOC managing director went on to note that “following the one-month interval, the qualifying phase will begin for foreign firms with authoritative companies being placed on NIOC’s vendor list.”
“The administrative process of contracts officially began today and once the companies are qualified, the for international tender of Iran’s oil industry will be invited.”
Kardor also pointed to the plan to hold three international tenders in the present year for projects to collect Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) stating “after tender submissions and price evaluations, NGL projects will be assigned to the most eligible private sector or foreign companies.”
The official, while noting that the first NGL construction contract has been inked under new conditions, estimated that two more agreements will be signed by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (began March 20).
“So far, a total of 88 plans have been defined in the National Iranian Oil Company,” highlighted Ali Kardor reiterating “under the 88 plans, approximately 515 projects and 2,000 sub-projects have been defined within four thousand contracts which will be sealed with qualified companies.”
